This winter, the global fashion community shall once again descend upon the iconic city of Oxford for what has quickly become one of the principal and most prestigious events on Britain’s annual fashion calendar.
Taking place between the 5th and 11th of November, this year’s Oxford Fashion Week promises to be the largest, liveliest and most significant to date, ensuring that the beautiful city of Oxford becomes the place to see the most incredible and upcoming fashion trends for 2013.
A variety of events will take place throughout the city including a headline, red carpet haute couture show at the world famous Ashmolean Museum. Further headline events to be announced over the next 6-8 weeks include a High Street Fashion Show, a Young Designer Awards, a music/fashion Concept Show and a Lingerie Show. There will be a whole host of supplementary events taking place including trade exhibitions, networking events, themed parties and much, much more!
2012 presents by far the best opportunity for the world’s most exciting young designers to showcase their work as potential, future stars of fashion. By providing a platform to showcase new talent, OFW enables these designers to gain exposure amongst key opinion makers in the fashion industry.
Renowned for emerging design talent and established brands alike, OFW aims to educate, empower and inspire all those with a passion for fashion!
Oxford Fashion Week is now open for applications from businesses and brands seeking to participate in this year’s spectacular event. Production partners, sponsors, models, designers, media/press and volunteers are asked to register their interest online: Oxford Fashion Week Applications
Can’t wait until November?
OFW will be supporting an Ethical Fashion Symposium taking place on March 9th, 10th & 11th, curated by Oxford’s very own O3 Gallery. Bringing together a diverse panel of ethical pioneers – from academics to stylists and artisans, they will discuss the issues surrounding Fair Trade, Biodiversity, Ethical Consumerism and Ethical Luxury. Tickets can be purchased from the O3 Gallery Online Store.
Fashionistas can also expect a multitude of preliminary shows and events during the summer months, leading up to the main event this November. Keep checking our website for breaking news, updates and information.
New Kids on the Block
Oxford Fashion Week 2012 + 2013 is under new management, officially licensed to BMLY Ltd, in association with local communications agency Let’s Brand It. The new event producers have the task of raising the benchmark and taking OFW to the next level, growing Oxford Fashion Week into the largest fashion event outside London.
Remember Remember the 5th of November!
Oxford Fashion Week has moved from the traditional dates in March to avoid any clashes with London Fashion Week, as well as other leading fashion events around the globe. Holding the event in November will give our production team considerably more time to produce a breathtaking event schedule, giving you the opportunity to stick the dates in your diary well in advance!
